President Obama instructed his Administration to reduce and streamline regulations two years ago. Lot of good it did: According the the Office of Budget and Management, the Code of Federal Regulations has increased in size by 11,327 pages in the past 3 years. That is a 7.4% increase to 169,301 pages, more than double the number in 1975. In G. W. Bush's first 3 years the increase was 4.4%. The Small Business Administration estimate in 2008 that there rules all cost $1.7 Trillion per year to meet.
