Catherine Herridge has some good reporting at Fox about the email scandal and the FBI investigations. This article discusses the background to the latest developments about Pagliano and the servers he set up in Hillary's home(s).
See here: source-clinton-it-specialist-revealing-server-details-to-fbi-devastating-witness
I especially like how Herridge describes the confusion around the word "classified." The MSM has allowed this confusion to proliferate. They have egregiously allowed Hillary to get away with using the prevarication that, "Nothing I sent or received was marked classified." Of course, nothing is marked classified because it is not an official description of materials that have national security value. Those things are marked Confidential, Secret, Top Secret or Top Secret SAP. And as always, a marking on the document is not necessary for it to be any of those classifications.

Hillary's Crimes: FBI Closing In - Pagliano Gets Immunity
Brian Pagliano, who set up Hillary's email servers in her home, seems willing to talk now. Normally immunity isn't granted unless charges are imminent on someone, probably Pagliano. He had to know that he was doing something not kosher by going around State Department rules on security and secure systems.
From the Washington Post: "The Justice Department has granted immunity to a former State Department staffer, who worked on Hillary Clinton’s private email server, as part of a criminal investigation into the possible mishandling of classified information, according to a senior law enforcement official."
See full article here: in-clinton-email-investigation-justice-department-grants-immunity-to-former-state-department-staffer
This is actually a pretty good article with some background on the timeline of the crimes.

Hillary's Crimes - FBI Confirms Investigation
Pursuant to recent FOIA lawsuits filed by Judicial Watch for releases of Clinton's emails, The Hill reports:
The FBI formally confirmed that its investigation connected to Hillary
Clinton’s private email server remains ongoing in a letter released on
Monday.
The letter from FBI general counsel James Baker comes one day before the New Hampshire primary.
The message does not offer new details about the probe, which the
bureau has been reluctant to discuss. However, it represents the FBI’s
formal notification to the State Department that it is investigating the
issue.
Since last September, “in public statements and testimony, the Bureau
has acknowledged generally that it is working on matters related to
former Secretary Clinton’s use of a private e-mail server,” Baker wrote
to the State Department.
“The FBI has not, however, publicly acknowledged the specific focus, scope, or potential targets of any such proceedings.
“Thus … we remain unable [to] provide [details about the case]
without adversely affecting on-going law enforcement efforts,” he
concluded.
The letter was sent on Feb. 2 but released on Monday as part of an
ongoing lawsuit related to the disclosure of Clinton’s emails from
conservative watchdog Judicial Watch.
Water Wars: Central Valley Farms Lose Again
What more do I need to say? Except that Sacramento fails again. And another source said 2.4 million acre-feet since December.

Millions of Gallons of Wasted Storm Runoff Ignored
Assembly Member Jim Patterson represents the 23rd District, which includes portions of Fresno and Tulare counties.
Tuesday, February 9th, 2016
According to the Coalition for a Sustainable Delta, more than 208,000 acre feet of water was flushed out to the ocean during the month of January. We should be pumping that water out of the Delta to refill and replenish the reservoirs we will rely on for our next dry season.
Fresno County Farmer Wayne Western has been crunching numbers to keep the public aware of all the water waste. “The people of California have been conserving for a major drought for over three years. We’ve also been paying for it by lost jobs, fallowed fields,” Western said. “It’s time for the government to end the man-made drought and start pumping and saving water.”
Unfortunately, pumping restrictions have drastically limited pumping from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. I joined several of my legislative colleagues last week to call on the State Water Board to work with the necessary agencies to at least allow for some pumping after drenching winter storms.
If our voices are not heard and action is not taken we will lose millions of acre feet of water this year.
FAST FACTS ON WATER RELEASES
- During the month of January 208,000 acre feet was lost to the ocean
- That’s enough to supply 462,000 families for a year
- Resulting in 69,000 acres of fallowed farmland and 16,000 lost jobs

Hillary's Crimes - #1006
Okay, so maybe it is not a crime. But certainly a gross failure to perform her duty.
Hillary went 5 years are the Secretary of State...and she failed to appoint a permanent Inspector General of the State Department.
And why should we care? Because it is likely that having an IG would have prevented her email scandal, and she would not be in the "state" she is in now.
So maybe her failure to appoint was a premeditated choice? Hmmmm?
And why didn't President Obama exercise his duty and make her appoint an IG? Now do we have a conspiracy?

What is Conservatism? Let's ask Senator Ben Sasse
Also four days ago, CNN's Chuck Todd asked Senator Ben Sasse, "What is
Conservatism?" Sasse responded what a forceful defense of our
Constitutional Republic, the American People, our economic system and
personal responsibility.
Best of all, he mentioned Rotary Clubs. "What makes America great is Rotary Clubs, it's small business, it's churches, it's schools, it's fire departments, it's little leagues..."
Sasse: "We need Washington to faithfully execute the laws."

What is a Socialist? Let's ask Bernie's Supporters
Four days ago, CNN polled Bernie Sanders' supporters in Iowa. They asked people to define Socialism. They had no real clue. Frankly, the responses are downright scary.
See the next post for Senator Ben Sasse's definition of "What is Conservatism?"
Here is the clip from CNN: cnns-baldwin-asks-sanders-supporters-to-define-the-word-socialist/
To be fair, here is an explanation of American democratic socialism from Peter Dreier, a professor of Politics at Occidental College. See: dreier-democratic-socialism/
To me, socialism is simply the step between heavily regulated capitalism (like we have now) and communism.
If you read between the lines in Dreier's description, you can see the the democracy part of his socialism is antithetical to our Constitutional Republic and its Constitution. The United Sates was founded on the principles of individual freedom and responsibility, strong property rights and that the person knows best how to run their own lives.
Unfortunately, many democracies eventually end as some sort of a tyrannical state, because even with the best of intentions, democracies give their power to bureaucracies that begin to function for their own well-being, not that of the people. That is happening currently in the US.
Further reading between the lines, one can see that the appeal of socialism is based on envy and greed. The futile quest for equality and equity is instigated by envy of the smarter, the better off, the harder worker. That leads to re-distributionist laws that destroy the freedom concept of the Founders. That is a key point for Bernie Sanders...for 40 years he has had the same speech, that the rich are the problem and he wants their stuff. Unfortunately, this road also leads to him wanting your stuff, via huge taxes, big government, and over-regulation.
Oh yeah, one last point: The Tax Foundation last week published their evaluation of Sanders' tax proposals, applied to the next ten years. It results in about 9.5% reduction in GDP and 6 million fewer FTE jobs. His tax increases would be 13.5%, but only produce 9.8% after considering the reduction in GDP. There would be a 10.5+% reduction in income for bottom 99% of earners, which turns into 12.8% after considering the reduction in GDP.
See here: details-and-analysis-senator-bernie-sanders-s-tax-plan
So much for JFK's famous quote: "A rising tide lifts all boats." I don't think Bernie is a boater.

Hillary's...er...Kerry's Crimes #1001
Well, it seems that Hillary Clinton's vast experience at State rubbed of onto John Kerry so that he also flaunted Federal law and send classified emails hither and yon.
The State Deptartment announced on February 2 that then Senator and Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee John Kerry sent at least one email (now classified as "secret") from a "non-official account" on his ipod to Hillary's home email server.
So the question is: Does anyone in the Obama Administration have any knowledge of, or respect for, the laws on national secrets and protocols for using government email systems?

Hillary's Crimes #1005
Michael Mukasey, the US Attorney General from 2007-2009, produced an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal on Jan 22, 2016 about Hillary's email mess. The title is "Clinton's Emails: A Criminal Charge is Justified."
Mukasey discusses the email scandal and concludes that Hillary knew enough about the material she handled to support a conviction for at least mishandling classified information. That is the charge brought against General Petraeus.
Further, he suggests that more severe grades of bad acts may apply and attract a criminal charge:
Crime # 1005: Mukasey also mentions recent reporting by Catherine Herridge at Fox, where she says the FBI are now looking at "the possible intersection of Clinton Foundation donations, the dispensation of State Department contracts and whether regular processes were followed."

Hillary's Crimes #1003 and #1004
Continuing the miserable story of Hillary and her criminal email servers and mail forwarding.
#1003: It is becoming more and more clear that Hillary transmitted top Confidential, Secret and Top Secret documents. Many of them appear to have had the classification designations removed by her staff, who are thus also complicit. In one discovered email. she instructs a staffer to convert from paper to "paperless" and send in the clear.
The FBI now says about 3000 emails are in this situation. In addition, there are some 24 document that were in the four categories of Top Secret, including some in the SAP (Secure Access Programs) level of Top Secret. These are documents that have information and often names of foreign operations and operatives and informers.
Yesterday, several generals were interviewed on TV and they were furious that she had not already been charged. They also said it is 80% probable the SAP information is now in the hands of Iran and North Korea. They claim Hillary's actions are much worse than what Edward Snowden did.
And what does Hillary say to all of this? She is dismissive that it is a Republican plot and nothing bad happened. She says that nothing marked "Classified" was transmitted. This is a prevarication: nothing is ever marked "Classified."
For instance, Top Secret information is that "...reasonably could be expected to cause exceptionally grave damage to the national security..."
Classifications: Wikipedia: Classified_information_in_the_United_States
Executive Order 13526: Executive_Order_13526 Read Sec. 4.3 about Special Access Programs.
#1004: Hillary will ruin careers if her transgressions are not moved forward. There are about 100 to 150 FBI employees working on the Clinton Email Scandal. The leaks and rumors are that there is more than enough evidence to indict Hillary. Further, if the FBI Director James Comey does not recommend indictments, these staff people are angry enough to resign. If he recommends and Attorney General Loretta Lynch does not levee charges, the reaction will be widespread and nasty.

Hillary's Crimes #1001 and 1002
There are so many Hillary crimes that I just arbitrarily started at 1000. Close enough for government work.
1001: So, this week we learned that she had previously told the FBI that she started using her home email server for her personal email in March of 2009. But now we find out the FBI has recovered emails to Gen. Petraeus that occurred before then. Just another in the long line of Hillary perjuries...ah...what difference does it make!
1002: Today Bill and Hill gave an interview about the email scandal on TV (Meet the Press?). As I heard it, their campaign manager tweeted that the whole matter is now settled, or words to that effect. At almost the same time, a manager in the Hillary Super PAC also tweeted the same message to her folks. Same words, same commas! Sounds like coordination of at least cut and pasting a message sent to both. So sad for them, that kind of coordination is a crime. Campaigns and PACS cannot coordinate, or plan together or even coomunicate. (Think they'll get busted? Nah, because the laws for ordinary people don't apply to her highness Hillary.)

Hillary's Email Scandal 2 - Staffers Participate in Email Coverup
How did Hillary actually set up an email server in her home? Well, first she used the IT guy that was assigned as her tame computer expert. Then she used her staff to manage her emails.
So, did all of these people know that they were doing something wrong and contrary to Federal Code (including 18USC798) and State Department rules? Of course they did. But, you don't disagree with Hillary and risk facing her mean and vindictive anger. And, as far as I have seen, none of her staff held sufficient security clearances to handle her mail.
First: More proof of criminal intent: clinton-asked-diplomat-to-send-classified-intel-to-my-personal-email
IT Guy: Bryan Pagliano. His State Dept. job was to be Hillary's IT expert. He worked as her IT director during her 2008 campaign. Then he was hired by State in May 2009 as special projects manager to the Chief Tech Officer. He had responsibility for setup and maintenance of her personal servers. The proof that he knew about the impropriety is that he has now invoked his 5th Amendment right to not self-incriminate himself after being subpoenaed by Trey Gowdy's House Select Committee on Benghazi. In addition, he did not report on his taxes or ethics forms about the income. He left this job when she finished as Secretary. See here: Former-staffer-who-maintained-hillary-clintons-private-email-server-to-plead-the-fifth
Staffer 1: Huma Mahmood Abedin, wife of Anthony Wiener. Close confidant. Deputy Chief of Staff to Clinton as a special government employee." At the same time, she was a consultant at the Teneo consulting firm and a paid consultant for the Clinton Foundation. Can you say " Multiple allegiances?" See Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huma_Abedin
Staffer 2: Cheryl Mills - She helped to delete emails from the infamous 70,000. No sufficient security clearance? See here: aides-hillary-clinton-testify-benghazi She gave nine hours of closed testimony on September 3, 2015.
Lawyer: David Kendall has known both Clintons since their days at Yale. He defended Bill during his impeachment hearings. Kendall is known to have held, in a safe delivered by the State Dept, thumb drive(s) containing copies of Hillary's email server data. Kendall similarly does not hold sufficient security clearance to have these in his possession.
So, how many people are potentially in trouble for handling, modifying, passing on sensitive emails? At the least we have Pagliano, Mills, Abedin, and Hillary's lawyer. There must be many others in State and other groups. Someone removed the "Secret" banners from several emails (felony). Many must have selected emails for Hillary to manage the flow of traffic (misdemeanor or felony depending on classification). Several at State obviously knew she had the personal servers and didn't report the offenses (felonies?). And on and on...

Hillary's Email Scandal 1
I haven't written much about Hillary's email scandal because the press, for once, is actually doing it's job fairly well.
Bottom Line: Hillary set up a private email server at home and thereby broke the confidentiality rules of the State Department and US Code. She should be prosecuted and, I believe, convicted. She should go to jail. The law is clear and the offenses are clear.
Side Line: It is Hillary. Damn it! Why is she somehow special? Why do the Clintons get away with so much illegality, so much lying, so much prevariacation, so much elitism?
Top Line: A Special Proscecutor must be appointed. It is time to end the Clinton tyranny.
Here is a good summary of the scandal, by my favorite judge: justice-jeanine on Aug 16, 2015
And another: justice-jeanine Why Hillary?
There has been lots of good reporting on the email scandal. Here is one from Breitbart on August 31, 2015, that shows how they knew they were doing wrong:

Hillary’s Email Crashed: Agency Didn’t Know The Account Was Hers!
Robyn Beck/AFP/Getty
Hillary Clinton’s secret email network crashed in 2010, and the
email help-desk at the State Department dismissed the problem as
unimportant because they didn’t know that she used a private email
address to run the nation’s foreign policy.
Clinton’s private email went down in February 2010, causing confusion for her and her top aide Huma Abedin, according to a new set of highly-redacted Clinton emails released by the State Department Monday night.
Clinton received a routine message from a State Department computer staffer who clearly didn’t know that HDR22@clintonemail.com was the Secretary’s email address The message had told Clinton that some of the HDR22 messages were being flagged with “fatal errors.”
Clinton forwarded the message to Abedin, asking what was going on.
“Ur email must be back up!!,” Abedin said excitedly. “What happened is judith sent you an email. It bounced back. She called the email help desk at state (I guess assuming u had state email) and told them that. They had no idea it was YOU, just some random address so they emailed. Sorry about that. But regardless, means ur email must be back! R u getting other messages?”
“I’ve gotten some messages from yesterday – how about you?” Clinton replied.
“Nothing,” replied Abedin on her State Department account.
In another email from that same month, Clinton made sure to differentiate between Abedin’s State Department email account and her clintonemail.com account when figuring out how to reply to different people.
“[Please] give her Huma’s State email” Clinton told aide Cheryl Mills, referring to a staffer for British official Catherine Ashton.
The new emails show Clinton and her advisers cleverly manipulating transparency guidelines.
“Well, that is certainly worthy of being top secret,” Clinton told a staffer in February 2010, referring to a Tony Blair statement about an initiative to establish a two-state solution with regard to Israel and Palestine. An exchange between Clinton and Blair’s wife Cherie regarding a potential conversation with the Qatari royal family was marked “Confidential.”

Milwaukee Police Chief Tells The Truth about Violence
In the perspective of the Michael Brown incident, and the vilification of Officer Wilson, this video by the Milwaukee police chief makes an oft-missed point about the realities of violence in the black community and in some large cities.
See here: http://www.masslive.com/news/index.ssf/2014/11/post_538.html
As counterpoint to all the protestations that are being made across the country by those who misguidedly believe that Micheal Brown needs to be avenged, why is it that there is so little caring, or indeed news coverage, for the 29 teenagers (13 - 19) who died in Chicago since Micheal Brown died? Maybe because most of the murderers were also black?
See Breitbart: Media-Ignore-224-Teenagers-Killed-in-Chicago-Since-Michael-Brown-Was-Shot
(It appears this number is not really correct, and that the author grabbed the wrong number. See the comments to the Breitbart article, and below on the heyjackass site.) However, the expression of wonderment at the lack of publicity is the key point.
Here is a running list website that lists Chicago victims: http://www.dnainfo.com/chicago/2014-chicago-murders I am not sure that this site contains a full listing.
Here is another site: http://homicides.suntimes.com/
And another: http://homicides.redeyechicago.com/ 11 Deaths between Nov 13 and 19.
It is interesting that these sites disagree on actual numbers. EXCEPT, that the numbers are horribly high.
So, continuing my investigation, here is another site that has numbers similar to Brietbart, but the 244 number is for teens were shot and injured, while 29 teens were killed and total murders of all ages were 155 (74% black males). http://heyjackass.com/ My impression is that Heyjackass has the best numbers, but I have not tried comparing to Chicago PD stats.
An scary stat on the Heyjackass site is the clearance rate for murders. Only about 1/3 result in charges.
Another stat of note: Almost 80% of victims are black, while almost 69% of attackers are black.

Science: Graphene is the New Wonder Material - Can it Stop a Nuclear War?
I watched one of those investment magic shows today. You know the type, where they talk and talk but avoid mentioning the name of the companies they are hot on. But it was one of the better ones. Of course there is a big set of videos and report that you can get for "free".
Anyway, the gentleman is Dr. Kent Moors who supposed advises governments around the world about geo-political risks. He had eight ways to capitalize on trends in the world that are scaring us all these days. The main thrust was about the worrisome Kashmiri border between India and Pakistan. He sees a fairly high possibility of war there in the next few years.
See video here: The Zero Line - India and Pakistan
See here for the offer: Money Map Press - The Great Game It is worth watching for the state of the world assessment.
Anyway, eventually the video focused on the Indus River that starts in India and ends in Pakistan. India has treaty rights to the water for power and irrigation. If India shuts off the water, Pakistan is in big trouble and this could start a nuclear war.
So what is the money making opportunity? It is in desalination of seawater. And the company to watch is Lockheed Martin, who is developing Graphene as a desalination membrane. This actually could become a major breakthrough in desal systems because graphene membranes are one atom thick and potentially much more efficient than todays membranes.

Business Insider article: lockheed-martin-desalination-graphene-filters-2013-3
Knowing that LM is involved makes the whole thing real for me. However, it is obvious from the LM announcement that there is a lot of development work to be done yet. During my Chevron Career I was involved with reverse osmosis desal and gas cleanup plants several times. A new membrane that can reduce the plant size, and more importantly potentially reduce the power requirements would be a breakthrough indeed.
The other six opportunities present in "The Great Game" offer interesting ideas, but I am less enthused about some of them. Good stuff to wonder about though.

Scandal: Harry Reid Obstructs Congress Continuously
He's been doing it for years. Yet the people of Las Vegas keep electing him because the casino union workers think he brings them bacon. In reality, he brings bacon to his rich friends and government cronies. In reality he has been impeding the work of the Senate and is the real reason very little is getting done in Washington.
See here for a tally of the blocked bills: The Unpatriotic Laziness of Harry Reid
More evidence of the lies and cover-ups coming from President Obama and Harry Reid. Check out the stats coming from Rep. Lynn Jenkins (R-KS) office…
At the weekly press conference with Republican leaders Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins (KS-02) highlighted the 352 bills – 98% which passed with bipartisan support in the House – that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid refuses to bring up for a vote. The numbers never lie…
The numbers never lie. Currently, 352 bills that passed the House are awaiting action on Harry Reid’s desk. Of these bills:
- 98% passed with bipartisan support
- Nearly 70% passed with 2/3rds support or more
- Over 50% passed with no opposition at all
- And 55 were introduced by Democrats
And still, Harry Reid refuses to bring them up for a vote.
Why does the media continue to allow the unpatriotic laziness from Harry Reid to continue? Perhaps if the media spent a little more time being a government watchdog and a little less time being cheerleaders for the Democrat Party… our Congress would be getting more done? (Specifically, maybe Harry Reid would be getting more done?)

Why Trey Gowdy Should be President
As you know, I like Trey Gowdy very much.

Pitkin vs. Goliath - CO Road Closure
I think these videos tell the sad story for themselves. The Forest Service, BLM and Parks are all trying to shut down the People's lands all over the country.

Executive Orders: Obama bans AK Imports
Obama Bans AK-47s with Executive Order 13662
On Wednesday, Barack Obama used his powerful pen to effectively
ban AK-47s, and other Kalashnikov Russian-made imports,
indefinitely. This will include the import of parts and accessories so
it affects current owners as well as those looking to make a new
purchase. If you like your gun, you can keep it. Just don't expect to be getting parts for it without paying a small fortune.
The Executive Order was issued under the guise of punishing Russia with more sanctions. Considering AK-47s are one of the weapons that this administration, and certain members of congress, have been looking to ban, that excuse doesn't seem to hold much credibility. As John Galt said, "The good news is Obama has not banned Vodka imports from Russia yet, probably because he is the biggest homolush in Amerika."
Don't be fooled. There is always an agenda.
The ban is effectively against all AK-line Kalashnikov imports, which obviously covers much more than just AK-47s.
Kurt Nimmo reports:
Is this the "Hope and Change" that people voted for?
You can read the details of the sanctions here or you can simply stick a fork in your left eye if you are looking for something more pleasant.
Obama can play games all he wants but MSNBC viewers better not find out about this. In a recent poll, 88% of MSNBC viewers supported constitutional carry.
Wake up America. You are being lied to and the man in the Oval Office cares not what you think. He only cares about what he wants you to think.

Obama exploited the conflict in Ukraine to target the importation of the popular AK line of firearms manufactured by Kalashnikov Concern in Izhmash, Russia. The unconstitutional ban includes the Saiga line of rifles and shotguns. No appeal process? I thought I was living in America.
The Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) attempted to soften the blow by stating the executive order does not outlaw Kalashnikov firearms legally purchased in the United States prior to the ban.
The OFAC, according to its website, "administers and enforces economic and trade sanctions based on US foreign policy and national security goals against targeted foreign countries and regimes, terrorists, international narcotics traffickers, those engaged in activities related to the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and other threats to the national security, foreign policy or economy of the United States."
The criminalization of an entire line of foreign manufactured firearms is possible under "national emergency powers" and there is no appeal process.
