2000 Miles to Texas or So = Odo Error

I am in Houston for the NRA Annual Meeting.  RedBear worked like a BMW clock for the whole trip and is getting me around town in style.  Interestingly, the GPS indicated the trip was about 2000 miles while the bike's odo said 2046.  The difference proves the ~5% error in the bike's speedo and odo.  Operator error is present here so the difference isn't the 100 miles as it should be.  Maybe the odo error is more like 2.5%, unlike the speedo error of 5-6% according to the GPS when moving.
